TOTOKU has a long history with touchscreens. Since 2004 TOTOKU has produced and developed touchscreen displays for a wide range of applications. The “mediasaurus series” is used for information terminals and installed at various museums and public areas. Another big milestone was “lambda screen”, an industry first multitouch display, with sizes from 32 up to 150 inches. It supports up to 5 touchpoints at the same time , - a real revolution!
Touch screens are also now used very commonly in the medical field, for example; X-ray consoles. They are often chosen for instant image editing, cropping or changing contrast and brightness without a keyboard and mouse.
All TOTOKU displays are available with various touch technologies i.e. capacitive, resistive or optical. This enables use of touch with or without gloves or pens.
There is also the choice between RS232 or USB interface.
Of course all TOTOKU touch displays offer perfect image quality with high contrast and a DICOM preset. This ensures perfect reproduction of medical images and a consistent look of all images across the whole hospital workflow
